About video-messages and Eyejot

While I was reading Wwwhat’s new? this morning I found a new service, Eyejot.

Eyejot is a web application service that it allow record, send and receive video messages. All the life, practically since the start of the World Wide Web, that we have used the email as the first option for communicate us, but now, when many countries have a more faster Internet connection and the bandwidth are more cheap that years ago, we would can begin to think about the facilities that we can obtain of services than this.

Nowadays do we need video messages? Is it accessible for all people? Can we change our opinion about some subject if we see who it says? And thus a large so on of questions that I can ask myself.

I going to observe more Eyejot. We have a service which can record video messages of one minute of length, you can record yourself with your own webcam and send to another users of the service or to an email account.

For record this video, only it seems that we need a good upload, because all my proves with this service (I have 300kb upload) show that the video and the audio sops when it wants when you reproduce the video, therefore, there are some parts of the video that I can’t see or hear, and it’s without any doubt a serious problem.

Once time that you have recorded the video, you can send it for email or to another Eyejot user. At the last option, the new message that you have sent, will be show it in the inbox directory of the sender. But surely and specially at the starts of this web application, you will want send to another person that possibly won’t have an account. Is for this reason that you can send your video via email.

Leaving the subject of how works, we have to reflection about if this service is useful or it will can be in the future. Clearly, is a good channel for communicate us, but take part other reasons that can do fail this web application now according my point of view. Even so, this communication channel or video message system, it’s a good resource but that needs improve it in issues of video and audio quality and some usability subject as subtitles for folks that don’t can hear fine.

I will continue observing and proving this system while I obtain new news of his improvement.
