OJObuscador: After the event

I cannot say that the event has been boring, because really has been an interesting meeting for do networking and learn about the search engine scene. If I remember correctly, now, OJObuscador is the bigger event of this type in Spain and Javier Casares, Tomy Lorsch and all the team, have serious intentions of continue realizing this event during the next years, as Tomy says at one of his last posts.

I hope sincerely that the next event will be in Barcelona, because if I think egoistically, it’s more easy and less expensive for me, go to the Barcelona event. In addition, celebrate the event in Barcelona can be an “extra”, because you probably already know, is one of the main places for the tourism in Europe. I will warn that I don’t live in Barcelona, and I’m working in it since I begun to work with Migoa, some weeks ago.

Like all events, one of the first words that you can hear now is networking. And if we are talking with this terms I can tell you that really I made a good networking. I meet a great number of interesting people like Ismael El-Qudsi (of MSN Spain), Nicolás Marin (of Archivados), Christian Van der Henst (of Maestros del Web), German Herebia (of inZearch), Samuel Arenas y Miguel Acosta (of Ask), Emilio Marqueze, María Ortegón, Silvia Cantos y María del Mar Cortés (of Marqueze Telecom), Miguel Orense (of Adesis), Laura Cano (of Promopress), Manuel Tuset (of Sitesa), Gustavo Nuñez (of Nieslsen//NetRatings), David Quirant and Rubén Calvo (of OpenBlogs), Manuel Montilla (of Magnoliart), Alejandro Pérez (of CON com.es) and so on. In addition, finally I could talk face-to-face again with Toni Mascaró (of eMascaró CrossMedia), Carlos Blanco (of Grupo ItNet), Hector García (of Technorati Japan), Jesús López (of Mas Impacto) Ferran Arricivita (of Com.es) and Natalia Kim (of ).

If anybody says that the content didn’t be interesting or that didn’t have the enough level is only a question of his preferences and knowledge level. In my case (because I’m working for a vertical search engine start-up) I found very interesting the commercial conferences of the first day and his scene point of view, because they gave me many ideas for a future development, that it’s a important point for compensate the cost of the travel.

In the other hand, the second day give me more experience in the SEO/SEM world. Although is truth that the conferences didn’t have a great level of depth and many of the assistants were SEO/SEM experts, it’s commonly that one of the comments can be this. In my opinion, all the conferences that I assisted, it has give me more reflection points and new view of the sector.

Then, after reflection some time, the great questions is… ¿It is enough for me? Yes, without any doubt.
